Beachcomber Hot Tubs Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance and Safety Team here at Beachcomber Hot Tubs. As the Maintenance Technician, you would be responsible for ensuring timely and quality repairs and preventative maintenance of plant machinery/equipment, along with general building maintenance.

What You'd Be Responsible For

• Maintenance and Repair of Plant Machinery and Equipment
• General building maintenance of all facilities
• Participate in preventative maintenance program
• Maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe work station
• Proactively follow quality standards/procedures and safety guidelines
• Ability to operate Forklift
• Any other duties, as assigned

What the Successful Candidate Brings

• Minimum of three years manufacturing experience in a maintenance support (technician) role in a high volume and labor intensive manufacturing plant.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in machine systems, repair and/or modification with integrated utility supplies. Integrated utilities include but are not limited to electrical and mechanical.
• Computer literate and have working knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Scheduling Program and Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Certification in Plant Maintenance or BC Provincial Apprenticeship in Plant Maintenance / Mechanics / Electrical
• Experience in repair & maintenance of hand held and / or woodworking power tools is an asset.
• A strong team player who is self-motivated and can exercise sound judgment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively
• Ability to read and write in English and follow instructions
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule (weekends, overtime)
• Must be mechanically inclined with basic math skills
• Minimum High School graduation or equivalent
